One parallel that I haven’t noticed anyone talking about is the history of textiles. In Andor the Ghorman are described as making the best textiles in the galaxy. Palestine has also shared a historical relevance related to fine textile work. The term gauze is likely of etymological origin with Gaza (this is debated but seems fairly solid).
