      idk if that would be something theyd want to do. Sure it probably gets the USians to support war, but theyll mostly do that anyway. A US carrier sinking tho would make the US look weak af and embolden other nations to act against them too tho.

        Which will be great for Trump who is seeking to push a $1 trillion increase in federal spending on military, while cutting public services and social services along the way. A major US loss would probably let him push that to $2 trillion. A wet dream for the military industrial complex and the financial capitalists wanting to gut as much social welfare as possible.

          Gutting welfare to fund a massive bureaucratic cheque to replace naval assets that the US lacks the industrial capacity to build is gonna do wonders for the parasitic class of middle managers that make up the majority of the American MIC.

        It would be funny if they thought they were recreating the September 11, Never Forget (which they will fuck up and make it overly partisan and divisive from the start) but the anti-US unity and self-liberation fervor world wide it creates ends up being 100x bigger.
