Solid steel from Gelsenkirchen is supplied with “The Arsonist” from SODOM. Old school thrash of very good quality, to which drummer Toni Merkel has left his mark.
The drum sound stands out, whereas Angelripper’s Bollerbass disappears in the mix this time.
Some echos of Slayer can also be heard.
Unfortunately, an outstanding firecracker is missing, but all in all a really good album.

Yeah, I know Sodom since 1987 and saw them last year together with Tankard, Destruction and Kreator in their Hometown Gelsenkirchen together with 6000 thrash maniacs. It was a blast.
