I’ve tried the animation in that article, and I do see the bright blue/green corona-like thing around the circle, alright. But there something odder : while the circle was shrinking, every two seconds or so, I saw the whole picture turn into a plain brownish square, the central dot being the only noticeable feature (the circle, for instance, wasn’t there anymore). Lasts a split second, then back to the shrinking circle. I’ve seen that full brown square maybe three or four times over the whole animation. I had to check the animation without focusing on the dot to make sure the brown frames weren’t real.

Anyone else saw that?
