poster lore
The Komsomol was the All-Union Leninist Young Communist League. It was first called the Russian Young Communist League (RKSM) but with the unification of the U.S.S.R., it was made an all-union organization and youth division of the All-Union Communist Party. Komsomol was the final tier of the three youth organizations in the U.S.S.R. Members were between the ages 14 to 28 and they joined after graduating from the Young Pioneers. Prior to being Pioneers, they graduated at age 9 from the Octobrists.
haven’t been doing too hot for the past week or so. had a few sober days, won’t get into specifics, but i definitely am capable of better. i’ve been going to my IOP program consistently without missing days this whole month so that’s a win in my book
my plan for this week is to spend more time out of the house. i am unemployed and in between semesters which has kinda been an excuse to just… rot forever for the past 2 1/2 months. not sure what to do specifically (walk, go for a drive somewhere, etc) but regardless it’ll be a change.
Are there some libraries or parks in your area? That’s where I would go to. Also, I like to go on a walk outside while listening to podcasts. Are you into podcasts?
there’s some nice parks around me but not within walking distance unfortunately! i drove to one today and it was nice, couldn’t tolerate the heat for too long though so i didn’t stay for as long as i wanted to. not super into podcasts, but if you have any suggestions on what to listen to on a walk i’d try some out!
I listen to a bunch of different podcasts, here are some of my favourites:
Guys with Bryan Quinby - a podcast about different types of guys. This is basically required listening for Hexbears. Every episode, the hosts and the guest of that week choose a type of silly online guy and read funny posts and reviews.
Pew Pew Bang - a gaming podcast which is also a slumber party. Four women from games media chat about games and stuff. Immaculate vibes.
Overdue - a podcast about the books you’ve been meaning to read. Every week they read one book and talk about it. Wide range of books and very nice hosts.
If Books Could Kill - also a podcast about books, but this one is specifically about bad books. Bad popular science books, bad books about relationships, bad political books. It’s funny and informative.
All of these podcasts have good politics, which is a bonus.
