Does anyone like youtube shorts?
I have a single friend who sends me those links. Everyone else sends tiktok generally.
I love all my friends but I’m not clicking on a shorts, TikTok, or reels link ever in my life

it fits a weird niche being on youtube instead of a more “direct” social media like instagram or facebook. I’ve seen kids who don’t have a smart phone, but they have a switch. Can’t run tik tok on the switch but you can run youtube. I’ve seen a handful of kids swiping their nintendos. Personally, it gets me because I basically just go here and youtube since I quit instagram.
Certainly a bad thing, but it gets use because it extends the swipe addiction outside of social media.
I thought YouTube was social media.
You can still use youtube as a mere filehost or as a non-algorithmic light-socialmedia where you just watch videos from your own curated list of subscriptions. Also the last major platform that still sorta works without logging in and semi-consistently via proxy front-ends.
The whole damn site is being flooded with AI slop. I’ve been doing some car repair deep-dives lately, and now my feed is periodically littered with shitty AI listicle clickbait videos about random gearhead topics, and a good chunk of the time the information is flat-out wrong (and serves as engagement bait to get boomers to show up in the comments). It sometimes takes me a minute to figure out if it’s an AI voice or just some novice with a shitty mic and not enough experience narrating because of weird delivery/emphasis, and once you are watching one of those fucking things, you don’t have a way to tell it not to recommend the channel to you anymore.
Fuckin’ YouTube.
were youtube shorts ever really alive? i mean this not as a tongue and cheek remark. youtube shorts has already been behind in so many ways compared to other platforms
Were YouTube shorts ever alive?
The internet is basically dead tbh. This is genuinely the only site I use
It’s literally spam and should be treated as such.
YouTube sucks
I found a YouTube link in your post. Here are links to the same video on alternative frontends that protect your privacy:
