    On the Heidegger-Arendt letters, in Bookforum:

    “Heidegger comes off as a profoundly humorless, ponderous troll, displaying a stunning self-absorption rigorously depersonalized through ‘thinking.’ Arendt remains in the background; there’s little here about her development of her work.”

    Plus H’s butt probably smelled too. Oh yeah, and he was also an unrepentant Nazi.
