This is more like a store worker asking “did you find everything you need?”

They know what it shows, but Google is asking if it was showing the right thing.

Google knows what results it returns to you for search. Google knows your device or browser dimesions. Google knows what their page design is. Why wouldn’t they be able to show you what their own page looked like?

    1. I’ve only seen this used in the opinion rewards app to gauge the efficacy of their layouts
    2. It so often shows different results or results in different orders that there’s no way it’s a screengrab of your actual session instead of a facsimile recreated for the express intent of producing the survey
    3. They know everything you’ve ever looked at on their platform(s) and the technology to render the layout with that information. They don’t need a screenshot they have the raw data.

Because on the screenshot he is at 15%, icon in red, and seeing that will trigger undue stress for most people.

Why would anyone stress over the state of someone else’s phone battery in a screenshot? It’s usually barely worth being concerned about on your own phone unless you’re expecting an important call, worst case you’re disconnected for an hour or two. Hardly the end of the world.

usually because they have been caught in situations where they didn’t keep their phone topped up and ended up needing their phone and having it run out of energy at a critical moment causing some undue stress. The resulting fear of running out again causes them to feel stress when they see the low number and they feel compelled to focus on it and comment even though it isn’t really rational.

As the other commenter said. Most phones have a super power saving mode which can extend your battery runtime by a significant time making sure your phone can phone when needed. But, most people forget that or do not bother to use that function.
