4chan, despite their whining, are probably the most obvious and biggest users of reddit. Why wouldn’t they be? Reddit is friendly to everything 90% of 4chan posters want to talk about. For the rest, they have 4chan.
A bunch of 4channers are people banned from r*ddit who then shit up 4chan even more than it can already be shitted up. There’s a noticeable change when a major ban occurs over there, such as when the incel sub got banned. The other major events were the 2016 election and Gamergate.
Liberal land? You seem to be looking at this the same way the people you dislike are, looking left and right from inside the collective asshole of the rich. You got to back straight up out of the colon before you can get your bearings.
idk man i go to any reddit comment section and it’s all libs shouting slogans and getting thousands of upvotes. the platform is definitely skewed liberal but most gamer and europe subs are somewhat hitlerite adjacent.
Many of those libs are operating up the colon of the rich as well. Somehow trusting the establishment to beat the republicans, to say nothing of restoring our former glory.
Half of what I did on there was argue for real reform candidates, to deaf ears, shouted down by partisans using ad hominems, on lemmy here now too I would add.
The country seems hopeless, we need organization to take the d party in 2028 and run a muscular aggressive reform campaign. Late as it may be with r rigging already in place.
i’m doing my part, but i’m not american. the left wing in my country is showing promise: our main (albeit a bit cultish) socialist party has expanded beyond its home state, which is a major achievement to make in a place with a staunch right wing culture. as much as i dislike reformism, i try my best to support my local leftist candidates for regional and national elections. it ain’t much, but it’s honest work. although my community outreach isn’t the best. america really needs a miracle right now, things aren’t looking good.
The left parties are near all seized by conservatives, and the rest, like france unbowed, cannot get their shit together to run a populist reform campaign.
In the us, any time a reformer wins the d and r establishments both gang up on them to prevent the precedent showing there is another way, most visible in reform prosecutors.
We need coalitions of reformers cooperating on what we agree on, controlling a party. Country populism is different than city populism, but they both do not want the rich to steal their lunch, or corps to poison their water to make or save a buck.
Somehow the few left parties get bogged down in differences while the right falls in line. With strong leadership and organization we could win even now though.
man, the leftist situation in america sounds rough. down here things are way better, our main socialist party (that outright says it’s socialist) is half trots and half everyone else, but they have little to no conservatives as part of it, and are decently progressive concerning social issues. they’ve been growing in size and could finally afford to spread out nationwide this year (yay!). our socialist-adjacent and the biggest “left” wing party (more like solid center, they’re socdems) is doing pretty well too. although this election, due to our country being so afraid of trump’s influence that they let the centre-right party win in a landslide, they gained no seats in parliament.
Somehow the few left parties get bogged down in differences while the right falls in line.
there isn’t much on the right to fight over aside from social issues. plus, conformity is a core tenant; either fall in line or get flamed. the western civilization is directly at odds with any level of leftist organization, and because sectarianism is so widespread among leftists, we fight amongst ourselves and take each other down before we even get the chance to actually make a difference.
A coalition of populists could do it, I think this left right terminology poisons the political atmosphere.
Do not look left or right, look up.
Is a luigi themed bilboard in portland oregon.
But may I ask what country you are referring to? I would guess some kind of Scandinavian one but I can’t think of one that let the sensor rights win not that I would know. Sweden is a right government, I think Finland just went right, not sure about norway, or Denmark. Or any of the low countries for that matter.
But as you say the political environment is nowhere near as poisoned in northern and western Europe as it is here. We have so many different groups that malicious actors are able to play them off of each other to create more of a divide while the Europeans they cannot get as much traction.
Neither the left nor the right parties there are generally trying to cancel their single-payer healthcare systems, not trying to make their countries pay more for drugs than everybody else, generally support a safety net. While here both parties want to get rid of everything even if they want to admit it.
From the post office to social security, food assistance, medicare, etc our Democrats have been complicit in trying to take away and or refusing to restore those after Republicans sabotage them. Post office being the case in point.
Biden did not do dick to restore the post office, did not go after dejoy, just made a performative effort and then got them billions of dollars that would not start flowing for years that would instantly be canceled on a new president from the other party.
For Generations anywhere domestically two to three days the post office would deliver. Now it is 7 days. It was five during Biden’s term and now it is 7. Up from 3 or less from before our grandparents to the last decade.

damn have we been using the same reddit? i swear i left because reddit is liberal land and it pisses me off
You just need to go to any
or location-related sub
s to immediately be exposed to dangerous levels of
.
R/Europe is probably where all the pol posters go
Whatya mean? Why that sub I have not seen that there but their mods are conservatives of the types that delete posts networking to stop chat control.
