So basically, my grandparents got this book somehow in the 70s and gifted it to me not long ago due to me being a dirty commie. As far as I’m aware this book has largely been lost to history, although I found what I think is a full version on internet archive here, but you have to log in to access it. There are many great pictures and quotations, and I think it’s a shame more people can’t see it. This book is an exploration of the commune of Tachai (Dàzhài - 大寨) during the time and a great coffee table book.
