So everyone was freaked the fuck out about the recent ACIP meeting, and rightfully so, but it looks like things aren’t going to be too much worse for the near term future. Few things of note:

-You DO NOT need a doctor’s prescription on the national level to get a Covid shot. You MAY need one in your particular state but that is sort of up in the air at the moment.

-AHIP (the insurers) released a statement saying they were covering the Covid vaccines:

https://www.ahip.org/news/press-releases/ahip-statement-on-vaccine-coverage

-If you’re not of age, you can still list one of the underlying conditions. I’ve not personally found a pharmacist to check but you can usually bullshit your way through this:

https://www.cdc.gov/covid/hcp/clinical-care/underlying-conditions.html

-Lastly, and most importantly IMO, at the meeting Sanofi announced they have started shipping the new Novavax vaccine. Supposedly, they’re going to start showing up at the end of the month or the first week of November.

As always, wear an N95. Covid causes brain damage!:

So Florida allowed access to vaccines on Tuesday and I got my Novavax yesterday. Many people were queuing up to get vaccinated I was honestly a little surprised.
