Roots grow pretty slowly. You’d have a small perturbance, then a little bump, then an annoying bump.
This is a “kitchen is almost unusable” level of floor displacement. And considering the rest of the room doesn’t look like it was ignored for 10 years…
I’m pretty sure this was caused by the material expanding too much on a fresh install, that’s why there’s the white spacers in the pic, as to why it expanded so much I don’t know
Was more of a joke, because yes the popped out tile separators show that this happened recently and with lots of force. I was thinking of the way sidewalks often look like this because of tree roots.
