lol … I always used to love demonstrating the rules of the game to my younger cousins and relatives

“NO SLASHING” … then slash someone across the shins
“NO HITTING FROM BEHIND” … turn a player around and check them from behind
“NO BOARDING” … push someone to the boards and push them around a bunch of times
“NO TRIPPING” … push a player forward and trip them with your stick
“NO CROSS CHECKING” … cross check someone and push them to the ice
“AND NO ONE TOUCHES THE GOALIE” … then body check the goalie to demonstrate

ALL RIGHT LETS GET THIS GAME STARTED!!! … all the small kids pick themselves up off the ice after the ‘demonstrations’.

I loved doing that because older kids used to do the same to me before each game

I don’t dare step onto the ice for a quiet game of hockey any more … I value my health and life too much to do that any more.
