As you have already hinted: commercial interests motivate the design of such algorithms. That means: capitalism is at fault. Again.

    Go farther.

Racism and sexism and other forms of oppression are tools used by the ruling class to discipline the labor force, which means even more profit.

As long as workers are fighting each other they aren’t fighting the boss.

Which is why racists and anti racists are all just taking the same bait.

The only war is class war.

Racism and sexism and other forms of oppression need to be fought against literally because they are tools of the ruling class!

Anti-racism without class warfare is worthless, of course, but class warfare without anti-racism fails to combat one of the most powerful tools the ruling class has to pit the working class against itself.

How do you propose to convince white workers to unionize with nonwhite workers without anti-racism?

        no.

racism may have been a system created to facilitate capitalist (and, mostly, colonialist) exploitation, but it doesn’t just disappear like this when capitalism is overthrown.

just look at the USSR still doing cultural genocide in asia after the revolution. look at online leftist spaces being mostly white; why is that? look at the racism that permeates the fediverse, which doesn’t have the profit-driven algorithms.

the fight for Black & Indigenous liberation is intrinsically linked to the fight for worker liberation. one isn’t complete without the other.

The only war is class war, but to fight that war you need solidarity, and you build solidarity by acknowledging and accommodating the diverse identities that compose the working class. eg If you can’t demonstrate to victims of racism that you will consistently and directly oppose racism then you are in fact neglecting part of the class struggle and missing a chance to strengthen the organization of your social class.

The left wing has crippled itself by only focusing on social equality for decades on end, while letting the right wing abuse the working class and wrecking the economy in favor of the ruling class.

Yes i agree, everyone should be allowed to be here. Of course, be the beautiful person you want to be, no shame.

But we talk so fucking much about it. Its basically the only thing that has gotten attention from left wing activists for most of my life, while the minimum wage has stagnated and everyone started buying everything from Jeff bezos.

I dont even see social inclusion as a left wing ideology anymore. I just see it as reactions to propoganda.

What is the class war if not a struggle for social equality?

              Economic equality.

If we take the money away from the propogandists, social equality will come automatically. Racism is the result of propoganda.

You must lift others up as you climb or there will be no revolution. White feminists didn’t help women by securing the vote only for themselves. White only housing is not a victory for workers but it is a defeat. Rather than ask the subjugated to work to make there oppressors more powerful instead ask privileged to step down . The onus is on the bigot to be tolerant. Without solidarity the class war is already lost

Don’t be so sure it isn’t. There are larger instances that care what goes on the front page and can control it.

You should post this to an audience who needs to hear this, not on Lemmy where everyone is already aware. And the King of the Hill meme is a more apt format imo so FTFY:

Surprisingly, according to Lyotard, its might be the other way round: connections fuel hatred. Independently, they are also profitable. Thus, again, scaling is inherently evil.

Words have different meanings depending on the context, in this case it’s specifically referring to the algorithms used by big social media platforms to determine which content to recommend and populate a user’s feed with and in what order.
