James using his money would risk getting the attention of Jessebelle.
I always thought he had been cut off?
It’s not so much that he’s been cut off as it is that he’s been avoiding his parents because the fiancee they’ve set up for him is terrifying.
pov: your parents have fucked up so hard you’d rather be homeless than ask them for help
She had a bdsm dungeon she was going to “train” him in.
Based on how Jessie would treat him I’m not sure he would have hated that
BDSM relationships still require consent
Yes but didn’t seem like that was why he ran. Or maybe he discovered he was okay with it while in team rocket
Ahhhh. Was remembering he’d been cut off because he wouldn’t marry her
Actually, James wouldn’t mind marrying her, but he has one condition she’s refusing to accept - he wants to be the one wearing the dress during the wedding.
I do love that James and Meowth let Jesse be the one not getting her head squished.
Top of the totem pole.
Are we not going to address how Meowth would be squished in the middle?
This, for me, was the least realistic thing about the entire franchise. Really broke the suspension of disbelief.
Cats like being squished.
I thought most Pokémon were vastly physically superior to humans or something.
There’s a whole list of reasons why Vaporeon is
Depending on what episode this is meowths got to be like at least lvl 50. He can handle that.
It’s a kid’s show, of course he is.
Bro you can set them on fire and hit them with meteor’s either of them can’t be more then 200lb I think homie can tough it out and that’s sorta ignoring the whole is Meowth the strongest Pokemon in the animated universe can theory.
All the money’s spent fixing their damned balloon
But Meowth can use Payday whenever he wants
Nope he can’t. That was a plot point in an early episode: Meowth focused so much on learning the human language that he can’t learn other attacks like payday, and therefore they can’t just use it to create money.
Anticapitalist Meowth is to Pokémon what Puffins are to birds.
I love the implication that pokémon are intelligent creatures that could learn to speak if we trained them for that, but most people would rather use them in casual animal fights for money and prestige.
A children’s cartoon from the late '90s had more attention to internal consistency and plot than most major motion pictures I’ve seen in the last 10 years
The Pokédex also heavily implies that Meowths are using coins that they find and collect, not generating money out of thin air (though I don’t know if the anime follows the same rules).
Why don’t they put Wobbuffet in the mix? I bet he’s pretty soft.
