Pertissue Fisher, who lives in the building, told ABC7 Chicago that ICE agents forced everyone out and only asked questions later. Fisher said she was handcuffed and questioned before being released at around 3 a.m. The officers, she noted, “just treated us like we were nothing,” and, “It was scary, because I had never had a gun in my face.”

Another ABC7 interviewee ducked upon hearing flash bangs denote, and was then distressed by the sight of children detained. “They was bringing the kids down too, had them zip-tied to each other,” she said. “That’s all I kept asking. What is the morality? Where’s the human? One of them literally laughed. He was standing right here. He said, ‘f*** them kids.’”

A witness of the same name told the Chicago Sun-Times it was “heartbreaking” to see “kids coming out buck naked and taken from their mothers.”

Witness Darrell Ballard recalled seeing the agents use a “big, 15-inch chain saw” to cut down a fence. “We’re under siege,” he said. “We’re being invaded by our own military.”

That’s a lot of unhinged strawman.

It’s what you folks sound like. Why is the first thing you think to comment still about this shit? It’s been 10 months since the election and this infighting is still going strong in the comments sections of like half of all political posts. I guarantee that anyone trying to destabilize our country from the outside is ecstatic at all of this ridiculous vitriol.

People who want their representatives to stop supporting genocide and people who want to stop fascism should be on the same side. They are both very moral stances to take.

While I think those who sat out of the elections (didn’t vote or voted 3rd party) very likely helped the GOP win more elections and start the fascist takeover we’re experiencing… I can empathize with them. How can you not? Were you excited that Democrats (politicians) took the stances that they took? Are you glad that they chose to focus on the issues they did?

There are so many things wrong with this country and it’s going to take unity to fix any of it. You are just working to divide us further. The GOP appreciates it.
