You know that thing in The Martian where they say you can live on just potatoes? Time to test that…

I know you’re all making good arguments for the other way, but I really hate pushups. And am only meh on fries.

Well, French fries would be faster to earn money, but you would need to do approximately 30+ pushups per French fry to maintain your weight

I think I might actually choose the pushups. Won’t get rich, but you probably wouldn’t have to work anymore other than doing like 10 pushups every 10 minutes for 8 hours.

Your annual earnings would then be about $124k a year minus whatever time you take for vacations and holidays.

Fuck it. I’m going push-ups. If French fries were delicious and made me money I’d weigh 1000 pounds.

Really depends on the thickness of the French fries and quality of pushups.

If it’s those chonky fish and chips fries I’d choose pushups since otherwise I’d have an eat a ton to wake a living.

If I can do partial pushup on my knees I’d also do pushups since with some training a 1000 per day is doable in 20m.

French fries average 4-5 Calories each. If you eat 138 french fries a day at $2 each, that comes to $275 a day at a health cost of 621 Calories. Do that every day and you would be making $100,375 a year, just to eat what amounts to 2 medium fries from Mcdonalds everyday.

Yeah but imagine how you’d look if you did 100 pushups a day. You’d be making $365k $36.5k a year. I haven’t done pushups in a while but I think throughout the day I could fit 100 in.

Edit: whoops. Still not bad though.

The long term trick is find who sells fried with the most short broken pieces, then buy multiple and sort out the long ones to give/throw away.

On the flip side, you can’t outrun a bad diet, so at a certain point you can’t scale the fries and stay healthy while you could conceivably be doing thousands of pushups eventually.

I think at that point though you run into the reality that injury and aging would eventually affect your pushup capability, possibly even make it impossible with a serious accident, but the injuries that make you incapable of eating fries in some form are more limited and serious.

Fries are ironically the safer bet in most circumstances even if pushups might have a potentially higher income.

french fry. I could eat 100 a day right now im pretty sure bit it would take a long time to get to 200 pushups if I even could get there.

They have to be deep fried atleast once. The way frozen fries are. Fried once and frozen. Then you can ‘reheat’ them in the air frier if you so wish

Give it to me in pound sterling and I’ll take the pushups for sure. The added incentive to work out outside of my gym time would do wonders for me.

I do earn at least $2 for every french fry I eat, and I can report that it’s nice.

Technically, I also earn hundreds of dollars per push-up, because I do not remember the last time I did a push-up…

Edit: I think I need to say “no” to the fry deal though. I’m not great at moderation, and I already really like fries.
