I enjoyed this one. I went in expecting awesome visuals, awesome music, and a passable story. I got what I wanted.
There are definitely some things that were missing for me, but I think I had as much fun with this one as I did with Legacy.
Did you tag yourself “paid shill”? 🤣
Yeah, it’s my flair for this community. :)
Say, while we’re here, why don’t you head on over to the concession stand and get some hot, buttery popcorn along with a sparkling, ice-cold, refreshing Coca-Cola™?

I thought Jared Leto was the least worst part of this movie. Somehow.
That especially includes the music.
Finally got around to watching the movie so I thought I’d necropost a bit.
It was a 6/10 movie - not really shocked it did poorly. Everyone is rightfully hating on Jared Leto but he really wasn’t the problem with the film. Almost every character sucked. I thought Greta Lee was terrible, either screaming and trying too hard to look scared or completely failing to deliver anything in what was supposed to be an emotional scene. The only one who put in the effort was the evil CEO, he was pretty fun.
Visuals were great. Soundtrack was great. Whenever we got cool Tron vehicles and action sequences I was happy, whenever a character started talking I instantly lose interest. The script is ridiculously dumb. My favorite part was when Jared Leto infodumped her entire life story while driving and she responds with “Being a human is… Hard…”, did a child write this?
Anyway, decent movie if you can turn your brain off and try not to nitpick it.
With everyone shitting on it, as a Tron fan, my expectations became quite low. But I was pleasantly surprised, it was a good, entertaining movie. I just thought the plot was a bit weak. Definitely picking up the 4K disc when it turns up.
EDIT: If you are interested, I just uploaded my long waffling review.
I might pirate it so Jared Leto doesn’t get paid more
