Ok so the twist here is… The verification of age is performed by the hardware instead of by the website/app?

IE, when someone buys the smartphone they verify their age with the smartphone itself, then the smartphone tells every website and app whether the person connecting is an adult or a minor.

Can’t see how telling every single app or website who the children are could go wrong.

It seems like it’s just a parental control software setting. If that is the case (which I’m not sure because California and tech giants are the Devil), then I don’t think it’s a bad idea to have a universal parental control API that websites and apps check. However, the idea of a website being able to tell a user’s age is also satanic pedophile enablement and I’m sure this will be used for nothing but evil.

A better way to do this would be for websites to use standard tags for various types of contents you may want to block, and for the blocking to be done with client-side parental control software. Of course, that wouldn’t allow them to collect data for targeted advertisement and political indoctrination. It would only have the benefit of actually protecting children, which isn’t the point.
