To add your Google Calendar to Outlook without making it public, follow these steps:
* Log in to your Google Calendar account and go to the “My calendars” section.
* Select the calendar you want to import and click on the settings gear icon.
* Choose “Settings and sharing” and ensure that the calendar is set to “Public” or “Visible to everyone”.
* Import the calendar into Outlook by selecting “Add this calendar to my Outlook calendar”.
* Save the settings to ensure your calendar is added without making it public.
This way, you can keep your calendar private while using it in Outlook.

I assume this is broken
Yeah idk what this post is trying to say
They asked for a solution “without making it public”, and the AI suggested a solution where one of the steps is literally “make it public”
Don’t give away the joke!
Impossible to know, chatgpt says its fine, grok concurs.
That AI is fucking stupid and shouldn’t be shoved down our throats and into every search result.
I had a specific question with a specific limitation, and it says before and after that I don’t need to make it public while having that as one of the main steps.
My best guess is it’s because the instructions are about how to use your calendar in Outlook without making it public, but one of the steps is to make your calendar public.
Other than that, not sure.
Yeah, all the search engines are breaking their core product to force feed us garbage responses that aren’t even internally consistent.
