    Looks great, congrats! Although I will say that the wood grain not being uniformly aligned (mostly visible on the white spaces) does bug me a little. But that’s just a small detail. What kind of wood did you use?

        There absolutely should be a ‘next time’. You’ve done a really nice job there, and if you already have ideas for refinements and improvements (and assuming you actually enjoyed the process of making) you should certainly continue with it.

          That’s very kind. I do plan to keep making things, but I’m slightly limited by the need for a worthwhile idea at times. Unless I know exactly why I’m doing things, I tend to run out of steam.

      Just keep your sandpaper clean. Going with the grain sanding is just to help hide if you drag a little, but there’s no requirement for it. Light hand, smooth strokes, change paper often, clean surface often
