Until January 2029, sure. Trump has the right blend of being an outsider, giving appearances of being wildly rich and successful, personality, and word salads that people will hear what they want to hear out of him, and think that he’s on their side.

Vance rode the Trump train last election, but I don’t think he has an engine of his own strong enough to pull off a decent campaign.
