Congrats on the 365!

I mostly play indie games, so it’s fun to see some of the bigger titles and get some brief commentary!

If you haven’t played Firewatch (and you’re into adventure/narrative games), you must check it out!

It’s a throwback to the late 80s and early 90s.

Mind you, I generally can’t play RPGs before 1995 or so.

An excellent horror experience, a little bit janky, but it’s worth it.

Unfortunately, this is very true.

Leaning towards casual gameplay, but with many in-depth elements.

Lemmy under the current devs (especially Dessalines) will never see string growth.

Dessalines is too busy banning people for daring to say that North Korea has a bad government to do any coding.

That’s true (I am here after all), my point was that the Lemmy devs’ tankie position is a liability for the growth of federated networks.

Not everyone is going to be spending time to understand the details and nuances.

Where I live, it would be a pretty shitty Macbook and they come with their own set of problems (which may or may not be relevant to a given individual).

All good, I was genuinely curious. I just don’t remember anything particularly racist 2-3 years ago, it was pretty regular posts, some politics of course, but if anything it was more anti-right.

The comment never said that. It stated that the Lemmy devs support russian genocidal imperialism, which is true.

Don’t get me wrong, I recognize that using Lemmy is not the same thing as supporting tankie roaches, but my point stands.

I never actually finished Fallout 3 (I played a lot of FO1 and FO2 as a kid and FO3 felt off). Maybe I should do a modded FO3 run and then a New Vegas run! :)

Thanks for the link! I heard the devs of Lemmy, on the other hand, censor comments opposed to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. So I’m much more interested in trying Piefed.

If anyone knows about a recent mod-guide, I would appreciate it. I am looking for something that sticks to original game, while providing bug-fixes, graphical enhancements, lore-friendly quests and QoL updates (e.g. combining multiple maps into one).

I last played New Vegas 12 years ago and I would love to replay it.

I tried the demo for Ground of Aces and I thought the concept was original and showed promise (the runway acts as a focus for your base building activities). The demo was a bit buggy and the UX needed some work, hopefully they’ve improved in these areas for their EA release.

I am probably going to get this one. While I really enjoy complex transport management games (Transport Fever 2, Industry Giant 2, Voxel Tycoon), there are times when I want a pick and play transport management experience (I typically spend 30-40 minutes on planning after map generation in Transport Fever 2).

An expanse MMO would be pretty cool, but it would need a completely different gameplay model from traditional MMOs.
