Both are probably upside down though, because I think the ground pin should be on top to protect against something slipping between the socket and the plug and resting on the pins potentially shorting them

Also for the flip switches down=off is a more common (expected) position

But then again it’s Australia we’re taking about, so maybe upside down was the point

  • If what you are looking for is a virtual LAN network (like hamachi and tunngle used to be) then I suggest you check out ZeroTier. I had great success using that to easily LAN different machines together over the internet, including the ones on different continents.

Very stable, straightforward, doesn’t introduce much latency and everything you need is provided in a free tier. Ping, gaming, etc - all works well.

You use the website to administer the network but the clients can join just by using the network code.

Let me know if you run into any troubles with it and I’ll try to help you out.

  • That is fair. I’m just disappointed with the amount of people who buy the government propaganda, but that’s not a specifically russian problem.

Although when the government starts killing their neighbours justifying it “because they’re gay nazis” - that’s probably when the slightest bit of critical thinking should tell them that there’s something wrong with the government and not their neighbours.

Disappearances will continue for as long as the state is enabled to do whatever. It would be very foolish to feel secure only because of staying silent. But to realise that would as well require some critical thinking.
