Jokes aside BB is phenomenal don’t get me wrong, but BCS goes so much deeper in character development, performances and world building. The top rated episode is rated as high as it is for a reason. I literally jumped in shock from it. I’ll admit, when it was coming out up through the end of season 3, I felt it was a cash grab sequel and didn’t vibe with it. I stopped watching for a few years until the hype around season 6 exploded online so I gave it another go and boy am I glad I did.

I’m currently visiting Brazil for the second time, already making plans to come back and live here. Find a fully remote job, sell off what I don’t need, anger my mother in the process. It’s a big, big change, Brazil isn’t perfect but at least there’s good food and fiance’s family is very welcoming towards me.

Same, the last roughly 40 hours of my gameplay on the Deck have been PS1/2 and Xbox games, with a few hours of New Vegas sprinkled in.

Biggest issue for me is the commuter rail leaves South Station no later than like 11:30, so leaving an event that ends late is impossible or very close to impossible. I don’t mind getting home after midnight but if I have to take the subway to South Station first I have to leave early. That’s why I dont bother going to concerts at TD Garden if they’ll run that late. I will not drive into Boston unless I absolutely have to (Microcenter is an exception).

For Valentine’s day we did an event at the Museum of Science for an adults only night, but it ended well within that window so it was fine. That was the latest we took the commuter rail.

Bluetooth mics are and always have been ass. Doesn’t matter if you have Airpods Max or any other expensive set. Nothing beats the quality of even $3 gas station wired buds with a mic. Direct connection is way better. The Earpods aren’t the best audio quality but they’re decent and the mic is great. You don’t have to buy the Apple ones though, any cheap brand well still work better than wireless.

It’s funny, I drove past a dealership (not Tesla) earlier and they had one of those Swasticar Dumpsters. They didn’t have it in the normal line however, it was on one of those lifts that rotate to show the whole car about 30ft in the air. It took me until now to realize they’re not showing it off, they’re keeping it high up away from the better vehicles so it doesn’t immediately burn them down too.

Also it has like 1,500 miles and is marked down to $77k lmao imagine losing all that money on a dumpster.

My dad wasn’t perfect, but he always did what was best for my mom and I. He worked his ass off doing a number of labor jobs (carpentry, mechanic, electrical, plumbing, etc) and was a jack of all trades. He dropped out his sophomore year in the 70s to help support his parents when his dad had a stroke and just kept working the labor jobs. He was well known enough in the plumbing business that when Disney was planning another hotel they asked for him by name to lead the plumbing project.

When all that hard labor caught up with him and he had his back surgery, it threw him on his ass and disability. He still kept working on stuff after recovering, rebuilt his uncle’s Willy’s he had found, swapping motors out of his truck when he eventually killed it, doing home renovations, everything. All while trying to teach my dumbass some of what he knew so I’d know something useful. I learned a lot from him, but not nearly all of what he knew. He was a stubborn hard ass so he liked things done a certain way and would sometimes get frustrated if I wasn’t doing it right, but never in a “I’m going to scream at you because you fucked up” kinda way.

It took me until he was diagnosed with cancer to realize why he had always been a hard ass and pushing me to do better, he didn’t want me to follow his footsteps and he stuck doing these hard labor jobs, destroying my body like he did his. Sorry that didn’t work out, old man.

It’s not really a particular memory of my dad that impacted me, it’s basically his whole memory of him that did. I’ve had lots of great memories with him, but everything he always did was for his family first, he was very selfless. I wouldn’t be who I am today without my dad.
