I took it as referring to the characters, not the actors. Though if that’s the case “people” is definitely a confusing word to use.

BruisedMoose@piefed.socialto News@lemmy.world•US hit with mass shootings and fatal accidents on Fourth of July holidayEnglish43·13 days agoI realize that the Indianapolis chief’s comments may be out of context, but why is he angry at the parents of the victims? Does he think parents should always accompany their 15 and 16 year olds out of the house? maybe save some anger for whoever actually shot those kids?

It also isn’t an operating system. It’s an application that you install on an existing OS.
Could the company decide to lock it to only their hardware? Probably. Could they take money in exchange for preferred listings? Yup.
And if it gets shitty, like OP said, it is just a layer on top of Docker. You can leave it.
CasaOS was key in easing me into the world of Docker. I understand general use enough to be comfortable installing without Casa and jumping into compose files and such. But I’ll still check out the store for apps sometimes just for ease of use.
Whole post is just a rant against something that OP apparently doesn’t know anything about.
BruisedMoose@piefed.socialto Android@lemdro.id•What launcher do you use? I'm looking to drop KvaesitsoEnglish3·18 days agoI really didn’t think I was going to like a minimal launcher after so many years with Nova and then AIO, but OLauncher really clicked for me.
Since then, I upgraded to ProLauncher, which mostly adds shortcut icons on the right (I believe that’s what I upgraded for anyway). It’s been great.

I visited AG infrequently, but considered it a solid place when I was looking for new games or info about a game. That really sucks the way it played out.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes - I had no interest in another reboot, but finally gave it a shot. It was really good. Looking forward to watching the rest.
Raiders of the Lost Ark - Well…I had it on while I was sick this weekend so I more listened to bits as a drifted in and out of sleep. Woke up in time for the finale though, and that shit is still awesome.

I find the opposite. I love video games, always have, but these days my time is more limited, I might go months without touching them, and I just play to relax. So over the past 10 years or whatever, things like GTAV, Fallout 4, and AC:Odyssey have worked out really well for me. I can pick them up whenever I want and either settle in for some story or just waste time exploring, doing side quests, finding collectibles.
Like what would I rather do in real life? Work toward a single goal day after day, or see what’s on top of that mountain over there just because?
BruisedMoose@piefed.socialto [moved to piefed] movies@lemm.ee•What movies have you watched this week?English6·2 months agoRenegades - Keifer Sutherland and Lou Diamond Phillips. It was alright. Highlight was the hilariously reactive flinching of a dead woman as shots were fired.
Empire Strikes Back - I mean…it was May 4th. Watched the 4K80 edition and didn’t miss any of the digital edits from later versions.

https://blog.cloudflare.com/updated-tos/
Is that so long as you don’t use their CDN for your content, which is where the bypass cache rule comes in, you’re okay.
BruisedMoose@piefed.socialto Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Jellyfin / Remote Access Help (windows)English1·3 months agoGiven your requirements, IDK why people are recommending different VPNs and such. No way I’m going through that with my mom.
For me, the easiest route was Cloudflare Tunnel. No need to fart around with exposing ports, has some baseline security, TLS, easy for my users.
The only thing you’ll want to be sure to do is create a cache rule to bypass caching on your jellyfin domain.

Dick Tracy - I haven’t watched this since it was in theaters. Such a bonkers movie. But just like during the original release, I just wish Beatty wasn’t the lead. He’s too old and just dull as he’ll.
Fubar - not the Schwarzenegger one, but the Canadian one about an aging metal dude getting his nut removed. It was alright. I’ll watch the second one.
Empire Strikes Back (Project 4K80) - Yeah, none of the digital additions are missed at all in this one.
The Clone Wars (2008) - I had skipped this because I never got into the original animated Clone Wars shorts. It was good and nice to see Ahsoka’s introduction.

BruisedMoose@piefed.socialto Selfhosted@lemmy.world•What OS should I use for self-hosting that doesn't require extensive terminal knowledge?English4·3 months agoFor what it’s worth, CasaOS isn’t actually an operating system. It absolutely works as an easy way to install and manage your self-hosted apps if you aren’t comfortable with the command line, but you still need to have a working Linux installation.
Yunohost is kind of similar as far as making things easier, but it operates as a standalone OS, so might be more what you’re looking for.
And I read the other day that “buy now pay later” loans will be hitting your credit report now, so I’m sure this will definitely help make America great again. What could go wrong?
