I’ve looked into it and it’s not even his tier list, just one he found online.

He’s been getting into FOSS and privacy lately
He barely touches on the topic of browsers, it’s like 40 second segment, i don’t think he even made the tier list.
I kinda think Floorp is better than waterfox
I’ve learned so much Linux on Nobara and i feel like it’s not mentioned much, not it’s got an active discord and gets regular updates
I learn a ton on Nobara, but I’m not so sure it’s a forever distro
Censed@lemmy.zipto Mechanical Keyboards@lemmy.ml•How can I find "crunchier" tactile switches for my new keyboard ?English4·2 months agoZeal Clickies are the most tactile switch period, but they are expensive and each switch needs to be adjusted to be made tactile rather than clicky
Boba U4T is the favorite child for tactile switches right now, maybe look into them
Novelkeys Blueberry is the switch I’d most describe as a crunchy tactile in a good way
Ajazz Kiwis are currently my favorite tactile, but I don’t think they make them anymore :(
Censed@lemmy.zipto Selfhosted@lemmy.world•3-2-1 Backups: How do you do the 1 offsite backup?English2·2 months agoYou ought to only be 3-2-1ing you irreplaceable/essential files like personal photos, videos, and documents. Unless you’re a huge photography guy i can believe that takes up 48TB
I’ve heard mixed responses about how sensitive they are about routing video through their service. I’ve heard some people are just fine running jellyfin/Plex while others get shut down from routing a security system through it.
Censed@lemmy.zipto Linux@lemmy.ml•"I'll move to Linux if it runs every game I want" just say that you never will moveEnglish2·6 months agoNever had problems with games ever, mostly I’ll just do an update and get to play black screen simulator. I’ll select the previous version in grub, but I still wanna update and know why it didn’t work, but there no answers online or people willing to help.
That’s one of many problems I’ll face. So I’ll go back to Windows while it is terrible and clunky, it’s at least troubleshoot-able.

Censed@lemmy.zipto Linux@lemmy.ml•"I'll move to Linux if it runs every game I want" just say that you never will moveEnglish3·6 months agoI’m planning on trying Nobara again soon, since that seems to be where I learned the most, unfortunate bc I really wanted EndeavorOS to work out
Censed@lemmy.zipto Linux@lemmy.ml•"I'll move to Linux if it runs every game I want" just say that you never will moveEnglish1·6 months agoYep I very familiar with time shift, but some of the problems out of the box, for example OpenSuse would have loud annoying audio glitching whenever I would scroll within a window. When I looked into it; it seemed like other users never found a solution.
Censed@lemmy.zipto Books@lemmy.world•What book(s) are you currently reading or listening? January 07English2·6 months ago25% if the way into “The Fall of Hyperion”
Censed@lemmy.zipto Linux@lemmy.ml•"I'll move to Linux if it runs every game I want" just say that you never will moveEnglish9·6 months agoIt’s pretty hard switch. I have a high interest in Linux, and I have 100% game compatibility. But I’m always running into issues that are so bad I have to abandon ship. I broken Ubuntu, Nobara, Debian, OpenSuse, and EndeavorOS. Truly Linux isn’t ready for newbies.
Yeah but he was never claiming to be. I don’t think he made any direct recommendations in the video.
Just him documenting his own journey de-googling.
