Yeah, looks like it. Though from the way he stumbled around and jumped into the side of the other turbine I can’t tell if he was just totally out of it on something and it was a horrible accident or if it was a suicide.
Living fossil.

Yeah I’m in the same boat. Though I will say, I have no personal experience of the stress and burden of running an instance myself. Especially one where the admins are actively trying to cultivate a non-toxic environment. That workload and the toxicity it exposes you to must be hell.
Personally I’ve had almost entirely positive experiences here, up to and including currently. But I stay out of politics, I’ve curated my subscriptions carefully and I never browse /all.
You and me both :(
Sounds like me too, and I also am AuDHD.
That makes me think about picking up smoking again. I could keep it to 1-2 a day, right? It’s crazy I quit like ten years ago and still miss it, still get the occasional craving.
That was glorious.
Don’t leave us hanging, where did you end up on your hermitage?
I think Unity is super underrated to be honest. Revolutionary Paris is the best AC city they’ve ever done, and they had such a good idea going with the free run up/down system. It has some of the most stylish parkour in any game of the series and some phenomenal animations. Some of the missions are absolutely amazing too.
On PC it’s apparently even better with the ACUfixes mod, but I haven’t played it personally.
Yeah, Summit is awesome. idunnolulz is a great dev and the app is just getting better with each update. There is still some stuff I miss from Sync, like easy per-instance community listing and remote local, but I trust Summit will get there in the future.
Is this when browsing your /local feed? Sync doesn’t display comments in posts on your local feed, this bug has been known about and reported for over a year and a half by now I think.
It’s one of the reasons I reluctantly stopped using it and moved to Summit.
I’m astonishingly late to the party because I was waiting for a sale, and it was finally 25% off on the Summer Sale.
Playing this right now and it’s absolutely amazing, heavily recommended!
It’s a shame, the music is great and I do love the freshness of the unusual setting. But having seen both some gameplay and some of the writing I just can’t see myself playing it.
I’m deep into Mandragora Whispers of the Witch Tree this week and having a blast. Played about 19 hours and it feels like I’m about half way. The story so far has been serviceable, but I do enjoy the world quite a bit and I also think some of the characters are pretty funny and well written.
Gameplay has been excellent, combat has the right sort of depth to it without being crazy complex and the bosses have been very enjoyable. Good patterns and fun movesets. I’m just now at the second really big story boss and he’s a doozy. As someone who isn’t huge on platforming I am also happy to say the platforming segments aren’t really a big part of the game and have been very easy.
Character customization has been another highlight and making builds is super fun between both the PoE inspired passive tree and choosing which active skills to use and choosing which active skills to upgrade. I’m doing a dual dagger build that dipped almost immediately into the adjacent Chaos Magic tree and while probably not a power gaming choice it is great how flexible the game is in what it allows you to do. Having a lot of fun so far with Chaos Echo and Shadowstep both giving teleports to the range-deficient daggers.
Heavily recommended if you like Souls-likes and/or Metroidvanias!
EDIT: Forgot to mention one thing. I really appreciate this game having difficulty sliders for both Enemy Health and Enemy Damage ranging between 40-160% (default 100). I haven’t used them yet, but knowing you won’t be hard stuck on a boss and worst case can just turn down the difficulty is actually quite nice. Helps my mental.
I meant Marko doesn’t see eye-to-eye with Horner. As far as I know Max loves Marko.
I would guess the former then because I really don’t think Max gives a shit about Horner. It’s Jos that hates him, and I don’t think he sees eye-to-eye with Marko either. But Max just cares about the car.
Yeah but, I don’t even think it’s about money. I think it’s just ineptly written. I feel like Lewis and whoever else were consulted did a horrible job at conveying what actually makes races exciting to watch and how to portray that in the movie.
After collecting my thoughts I’m thinking this tells us Red Bull are seriously worried about Max leaving and are trying to take desperate measures. It could be related to the sexual assault allegations but the timing seems off with that and I’m pretty sure they knew they were true all along.
What upsets me most about the writing of the F1 Movie is that actual F1 is full of amazing stories like this. They could have easily written something like this, which would still have been thrilling for non-fans while simultaneously keeping us nerds happy.
Is there really that much sports on Lemmy? For the longest time it seemed completely barren. Even now Soccer is just having stable but very minor activity. Formula 1 is fairly active though I guess.
And that just sounds like too much work. Much easier to see what you want to see on /subscribed and then put the phone away.
