He presents reality as a strategy for the bourgeoisie to survive the coming shift of power balance.
He made a video asking his viewers on what kind of audience he had, while explaining the target audience he wanted to have…
Which more or less was capitalists, “market experts”, supply chain advisors, etc, etc…
Needless to say I didn’t bother to tell him in the comments I’m a communist that likes to watch him explain how global capitalism collapsing unto itself on a biweekly schedule.
Being an entry level software engineer right now is hell.
People at my department joked around saying ChatGPT was like having your own personal intern, you can ask them to do dumb shit and you just come around and take the bits that the LLM got right.
That was a year ago, and LLMs have advanced a lot since then.
Even if LLMs can’t replace an entry level programmer upper management sure believe they do.
I don’t think progammers will be fully replaced but we are entering into an era of entry level programmer jobs imploding for years to come.
You can’t have senior engineers if you don’t ever hire juniors.
I don’t even think AI proponent CEOs are missing this part of the equation, they just don’t care about what happens in the next 2 - 4 years , capitalism gonna capitalist 🤷♂️
The geniuses on r/mexico wanted me banned after I pointed that out.
So you’re telling me voting for morena is bad because the the new PRI, but you want me to vote for the actual existing PRI?
We live in the most boring cyberpunk dystopia
Which I only realize its boring to us because we live in it and we are fed up by it.
I’m sure people in the middle ages, people actually living under feudal lords would be fascinated by it.
Can’t have China having a environmentally sustainable trade routes with central Asia. Just image they build high speed train network there the horror
Wouldn’t the machine become a worker (a very specialized one) if it manged to gain consciousness?
We already had like 35,000 national guards stationed at the border.
Yeah, it makes Trump look strong and us look weak.
But also… as part of the agreement Trump said they would focus their efforts on stopping the arms trade to the cartels. I don’t think they’ve ever framed themselves to be part of the problem before. This may have been a slip-up by trump, because:
The republican party is so full of contradictions I don’t think they can ever do meaningful structural change like stopping the illegal arms trade altogether.
On one side, they have their military industrial complex getting billions of dollars on blood money profits, and on the other they need to handle their internal health crises. And, If our government (Mexico) wanted to destroy the cartels, having your enemies armed better than our own forces make this a task of monumental proportions.
One of the biggest takeaways I’ve seen is the ability for a socialist state to plan against the short-term profits paradigm of capital and be able to consistently do so in order to align economic goals for the benefit of the proletariat (common prosperity).
Taking my country as an example… This aligns with what AMLO’s book says in Hacia una economía moral, “Towards a Moral Economy”. Wishful thinking I know but…
During AMLO’s presidency he sought to keep key national strategic resources at the control of the State, fighting against their privatization. One of Sheinbaums current plans is to develop a nation Lithium industry.
One of the “Distribution by Labor” mechanisms implemented was the implementation of nationwide social programs, and the massive increment (compared to previous administrations) of the minimum wage. This directly contributed to the lowest poverty levels in years.
As opposed as previous administrations where public infrastucture proyects were almost nonexistent, we saw an unprecedented public investment in states states that had been forgotten by the state, some of the poorest regions received billions in pesos in infrastructure projects to stimulate economic growth and to compensate for the lack of state intervention in those areas, favoring high capital concentrated areas instead.
As for long term planning, the first 6 years of AMLO are infamously called (to the opposition) as the 1st floor of the transformation, Claudia’s plan is to “build” the 2nd floor.
Ufortunately neither AMLO nor Claudia were explicitly proclaimed as Socialists and I don’t think we are yet at the “Primary Stage of Socialism” step, but we are for sure closer than what we were 6 years ago.
I’m here hoping Claudia can accomplish her plans for us in Mexico.
She could be a communist and it wouldn’t matter that much, the rest of the political apparatus is either neoliberal (opposition parties and old institutions) and a mix of socialists and Cardenista socialists (mayority party and coalition).
Wake up honey new “World Systems Theory” confirmation just dropped
Yeah, it’s brutal, I remember reading a study, it said if Mexico had kept up with pre-nafta GDP growth, our GDP per capita would be like that of Portugal which more than doubles ours.
That would put us in in the contention for top 4 biggest economy in the world today
It’s paywalled for me, what does this mean for crackerland? Would they need to ask China to access this kinds of tech?
This is what soft power looks like, and the US can’t do anything about it
Like the current state of affairs in Mexico
crapitalism
There is the Tucker Carlson camp which I’d not consider to be completely pro Russian, but it’s certainly friendlier to them and rabidly anti china
They’ve been embargoing themselves with all those sanctions, surely the rest of the world will keep taking the hit on dollar hyperinflation instead of joining BRICS
Come to Mexico German industrialists, we’ll make sure to invest the high-end jobs demand into developing our nation out of US hegemonic control.
Permanent… I was originally meant to add a twist to the power: “Every person you convert gets cancer” but my subconscious abstained from it idk.
Hopefully we get some needed Marxist and China Governance currículums at universities to train people on how to operate within BRICS. I doubt it but it would be cool
