Sweet, always happy to hear about a new project like that. I have enjoyed getting to know and use NextCloud these last few months. If Sync-In can stick around for a few years and fill out it’s offerings, I’ll definitely check it out.

I’m hoping to join or set up a mutual aid group, so knowing behaviours to watch for and how to navigate them will likely prove useful.

The States are cooked, and the world is going to have to pick up the slack.
Donk@slrpnk.netto Fruit & Fruit Trees@slrpnk.net•What is your favourite fruit tree to grow?4·3 months agoGrew up in southern california amidst the orange groves before suburbia ate them. I’m still partial to growing the trees. The smell when they’re in bloom is a beautiful thing. Similarly, i had a satsuma that basically took care of itself up in the bay area. Moving out to the sierra nevadas soon, so if anybody has suggestions for trees or really any native to the area stuff I should plant that’d be appreciated. great thread idea jim

beginning to associate that insatiable desire for domination and higher status with the mental illness that it is would be a good step. meanwhile, i think some of the assumptions in the article of immigrant communities breaking with the democrats in the US due to simple financial motivat are missing the party’s complete failure to give a shit beyond thoughts and prayers for anyone that can’t pay for the gerontocracy to get reelected. the prospect of the required fundamental change is incompatible with the system in place. many people just wanted something that seemed actually different, for accellerationist purposes or just to see a lot of the rich people mad at the other rich people.

who would do the nastiest jobs if not for pay?
There are good people who will see a need and fill it, even if it’s unpleasant. I’m thinking of all the wonderful people that showed up to provide care for aids patients during the 80’s when it was still unknown how it spread and intensely stigmatized. That was a hard job but amazing people stepped up because it was important. If someone feels like their work is valued and useful you can get help doing almost anything without money coming into it. We just need to make sure the helpers have their own needs met while they’re doing what is needful.
But i agree that most doctors are bastards lol
