I think people use that word to mean immature. Childish implies that a behavior is age-inappropriate, but also implies that the behavior would be appropriate for a child, which is often not true. Immature is a better word to use when someone is doing behaviors that indicate their brain development hasn’t caught up with their life situation.

Same experience here, and when I traveled as an immigrant, everyone was always very cordial and welcoming to me (which is more than I can say for the immigrant experience in America). The average person everywhere is involved in a continuous global struggle for human rights, education, economic equity, etc, and they recognize your empathy no matter what flavor of billionaire is currently running the country.

Tô the good, a lot of governments are pushing through regulations on AI usage and development, clean energy developments including wave energy will come to fruition, and economic shifts in what countries do business with each other could mean more development in Africa and South America.
