Thank you. I bought a light therapy lamp years ago. I will have to find it.
I like your optimism. But what exactly did the HRE fix?

One might argue this is very Swiss (decentralized) of them. But then, money clouds everything.
Thank you for speaking out, OP.
I don’t hate people from X place because they are from X place. I hate people who refuse to change their destructive ways in the face of overwhelming evidence that doing A,B,C is harmful to oneself or to others. Most often, that seems to align with conservatives. I’m also grouping some centrists in there as well, because they tend to both-sides a lot of issues when that isn’t helping. “Well, maybe not all pollution is bad”. No, you hypothetical fuckwit, ALL pollution is bad.
I’m glad you are speaking out for the sensible people who live in Alberta.
Signed, a progressive from Ontario.
I feel for you. Although I never got an actual diagnosis, I am fairly sure I have traditional SAD. It doesn’t make a lot of sense, because I handle cooler temps better than warm ones, but I guess it’s a sunlight exposure thing.
The thing is, we don’t want ANYONE to be a billionaire. It’s unjust.
It would take a person earning a million dollar salary a thousand years to earn that much.

Still, an AL championship (and beating the Yankees) are accomplishments to be proud of.

At least Hitler cared about the environment, right? Even if he thought it should only be preserved for Aryans to enjoy.

3·9 days agoMost people (I would say 90%) are not what we would call ‘political junkies’.
The only time they seriously think about anything political is when it effects them directly.
I probably devote more time than the average schmuck to politics because I operate my own business and I can set my own hours (plus, fall-winter is quiet in my line of work).
But for most people who work 12 months of the year, they are too tired at the end of the workday to care about whether or not fascism is slowly taking over, because the kids need to get to karate class, dinner needs to be made, and they need to sit down and forget about the horrible incident at work today. So I get why most people only really pay attention to politics when it is dressed up as entertainment.
It is a sad indictment of society that life is this way for so many of us, because it just allows the powers that be to keep their boots firmly on our collective necks.
