If I were you I wouldn’t be getting my hopes up. In four years, if elections still happen, MAGA is still going to vote for Trump and Vance because “A Democrat as president would be worse.” Don’t think that term limits are going to stop Trump.
With Trump’s staff and cabinet choices sure, but he didn’t put Congress or the Senate together, the voters did. Unfortunately both are filled with Republicans who are all to happy to be hand over their power or Democrats who are too scared to use theirs.
Now it’s too late, Trump has his own personal paramilitary with a budget that on par with military spending. At this point Jeffrey Epstein’s ghost has a better chance of taking Trump and MAGA down then a Democrat.
Of course all that would do is put a Democrat in charge who would just slow the decline for four years.

While I agree I don’t think you’ll get many Democrats who are willing to put their necks out to stop him now that it’s open season for hunting Democrats. What would you do if you were in the Senate or Congress? Would you vote to impeach the Orange Julius Caesar and have your family at the top of every crazy MAGA supporters hit list or are you going to stay quiet, stay low, and don’t bring any attention to yourself until you can lose your seat to a republican. One option your kids are targets of domestic terrorists, the other you get to collect a fat paycheck.
Cause if you think the last set of Democrats who were murdered will be the only ones, you’re nieve.
I think the confusing part is because the story of the movie doesn’t fit with what most people, including myself, assume a trans-film would be.
The aesthetic and the environment I can kind of see are trans-coded. Jacking in to a fake world, and living in one where you’re your true self fits. Even the plot as a whole of living under oppression to be your fake self I can understand. Getting away from the broad strokes it really challenges what I expected a trans-film to be and that’s just confusing.
It didn’t pay well until recently. With approx. $150 billion USD I’m willing to bet a Jr. ICE agent’s starting hourly wage will be enormous. Probably the highest entry level pay scale out of all American law enforcement agencies and armed forces.
Not to take away from your point but depending on their health little old ladies (or anyone really) can get a bruise from a gentle breeze. ICE agents are still pigs and as a reminder to everyone I don’t eat halal.

So, aside from the conversation at hand. On a long enough time scale human extinction is inevitable. No species lives forever. Either through evolution or extinction someday there will be a last Homo Sapien Sapien. Perhaps they’ll call themselves Homo Sapien Sapien Sapien.

It’s almost better alone in my opinion. Or with a friend. Playing with random people online is almost unheard of. The Galaxy is big, and you are very small. You could go your whole playthrough barely interacting with anyone if you avoid using the hub. The world still feels a little empty but considering the scope of what they’ve accomplished it’s still impressive.
