You’re being belligerent from the moment you started answering on this post, thinking you can interpret people wills and intents with absolute.
Go take a breather, realize that not everyone is out to get you, and that you don’t have to turn every disagreement into a fight.

NOSin@lemmy.worldto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Do you ever worry that you're secretly a psychopath that unknowingly manipulates people around you?8·1 year agoI’m gonna guess that “Quite the opposite; I have very strong morals. This however icludes things like not lying which means that I always speak the truth and not everyone likes hearing it. I don’t follow many of the social norms expected of me.”
is the reason for this
“A person recently said to me that they sometimes feel gaslighted around me because I so effortlesly make them question their own beliefs and feelings.”
It’s good to remember that most of our society is based on lying, and that most people prefer someone nice, rather than someone honest.

NOSin@lemmy.worldto Public Health@mander.xyz•New Zealand repeals world-first smoking ban passed by Jacinda Ardern22·1 year agoI precisely said that withdrawals aren’t the same between the two. You simply don’t understand how something can be more or less addictive, while the addictions can have radically different effects and consequences.
You can literally die from alcohol withdrawal, while that could never happen for nicotine withdrawal and yet, nicotine is much more addictive than alcohol, IE you get addicted to it much more easily.
NOSin@lemmy.worldto Public Health@mander.xyz•New Zealand repeals world-first smoking ban passed by Jacinda Ardern177·1 year agoHow addictive it is doesn’t translate as to how harmful it can be to your psyche and/or how bad the withdrawal effects are, which is what translates into people doing crazy shit for heroin, for example.
It is also ignoring how much easier you can get nicotine, compared to heroin.
This is an incredibly short sighted comment.

Very common on lemmy overall, and will turn it into a worst echo chamber than it already is.
Problem has been raised before, has been met with deafening silence every time, and is partly why I participate less and less in commenting.

More seriously, you got great advices in the thread, esp the pen and the muffins. You can offer sweets without having it mistaken as a romantic gestures, it then depends on the sweets you offer. A box of chocolates intent can easily be misconstrued, a box of donuts/muffins, much less so. Except if said muffins have hearts on them, it’s all about context.
Good luck !

Sigh Lemmy has the opportunity to do something great, but no.
After sync being abusive with ad banner recently and now this, I’m just done, can’t be bothered keeping track of all the bullshit, which instance to go to, which app to use.
I’ll just read e-book on my free time now.
