The sad part is Reddit was the epitome of socialist experiment. A by the people for the people internet hub, it had its downsides for sure but most people participated for the joy of being a part of this giant thing, no money was involved. Now it has been perverted into the perfect capitalist AI machine, using all our volunteered input for greedy selfish profiteering ends. What a U turn.

Ah yes, the age old source of disagreement. The nuance of what God/Allah/Elohim/Bagavan/Deva/Dingir/Wakan Tanka/Kami/Hunab Ku/Baiame/Netjer……… is and isn’t. The biggest source of discord used by the greedy to aim humans against each other. When in reality it should be the binder of humanity. It’s like fighting over the description of what a perfect apple tastes like. Every time we fall in that trap, we widen the gap.

Really throw them off by talking about Yahweh and Elohim and how are these Gods relevant today?

I grew up in a racist environment and parroted what was around me most of my young life. It’s all I knew, I didn’t change until I experienced the world and broadened my world view. Many of these “bigots” are ignorant and exploited. They are not evil people that should be eliminated. Your way of intolerance is the same type of ignorance you claim to hate. Dehumanizing any person or group as below you and therefore justify violence against is the worse part of society and the thing that needs to be cured. Racism is just one facet of that beast.

Just wrapped up “The Devils” by Joe Abercrombie. Really good first book to his new series. Top notch character building and prose. Classic fantasy characters based on old tropes but done really well with his unique flair. Best Werewolf I’ve ever read.
