They may break our bodies (any microbe can do that) but they need not dominate our minds.”

There are always wars, rumours of wars, plagues, natural disasters, but the work remains the same as it has been for much of human history.

What was your experience in getting those prescribed? Was it a matter of just being overweight? Did they go over lifestyle changes as well? There was a guy at work that was going to get them prescribed. He was very overweight, but he ate horrible food, a lot of candy, and drank three monsters a day. I’ll admit I got a little judgemental when he mentioned the medication. He was a good guy and I cared about him, but hard to help him see his lifestyle was probably the cause of a lot of his issues. I ultimately didn’t care how he got healthy, if its a pill so be it. But hopefully the lifestyle changes are tried as well. I also think we really need to focus on the mental health aspect of it. He was really hard on himself and I found myself regularly trying to steer him away from that.

I think attractiveness plays a large part in a lot of this too, for both sexes.

I followed disclosure for a while and it seemed to be mostly grifters. The big reveal never comes, meanwhile they are raking in the cash writing books and attending conferences. Some of them even have ridiculous shows on the “history” channel.

I think it’s more about attachment. We suffer because we get attached to feelings, desire, etc. When we should realize, those, along with most things, are ephemeral, or “not real”. I don’t think it is that Buddhist can’t have desire or are indifferent, but that they strive for lack of attachment. That’s probably a gross oversimplification and, like most religions, there are many different sects.

Gave it up about a month ago. The only reason I miss it is marketplace and getting local community news. Also local events are advertised there as well. I was trying to think of a way to get it back in a very anonymized way and block as much of the app as possible. I have adguard DNS, and a throw away email so I may do that.

I can think of two possibilities, either they think don’t get in the way when your enemy is making a mistake. If they can get to 2026, maybe it will be a democratic landslide. Or he knows where the bodies are buried for both sides, if there ever were two sides and they are terrified of getting exposed.
