    I use Windows because

My pc does not tell a story. It’s a thing I use for work and play. I can’t be bothered, it doesn’t interest me, what niri, alacritty cosmic de is. Why should I care? Why should I invest that time? My pc works already. My framerates are high, it’s stable and all the stuff I need for work, works. Out of the box.

Every single time I tried linux for the desktop the system failed within weeks. Dependency error after an automatic upgrade. Grub killing itself. Again. X refuses to start. So many config files littered all over the place just waiting for you to fuck something up. Gpu driver bullshittery. Printer hell. Other peripheral shit. (Flightsim gear)

And honestly, the last time i seriously tried was more then 5 years ago. In IT terms that’s a lifetime. So surely it will be much better now.

But after the umpteenth fail to start X, I just thought: wtf am I doing? I could also next next finish my ass through a Windows installation, insert a pihole in my network to block the most obnoxious stuff and just do my thing.

    Which is what I did.

Now, I do use linux. A lot. Just not for my desktop.

  • Look, believe what you want to believe. At this time there is zero proof. Only words as “seems” “we believe” “should”.

In absence of any proof I suggest (as does King) that it’s very plausible that this criminal, as every other criminal ever (except serial killers) did not keep evidence of his criminal activities. For me thats a “duh”.

(And if all this foreign agent stuff is even just somewhat true than that list does exist but it will never ever see the light of day because in the hands of an agency such as Mossad, cia or whatever it’s a very, maybe even the most valuable tool. Which, to us mere mortals, has the same net outcome. No list.)

Maga screamed murder, as it always does, about absolute bullshit. Clinton and every democrat ever was on the list! And now it comes back and bites them in the ass. As it fucking should.

There was a list according to them when it furthered their political interest. And then: Goal achieved, Trump voted Prez. And lo and behold: no more list! Omg! Impossible! I never expected that? Right? /S.

  • Bro was realistic.

Do you keep a client list of your parties? Do you keep a diary of your illegal activities? Would you allow someone else to have that?!

And even if such a thing would exist, is there any reason to keep such a list after the party? After the planning? After the rich and famous left? No man, the only thing that remains are photos, memories and crazy stories.

Sure, there are people who went there. Sure, there was crazy, scary stuff going on at those parties.

Which is exactly the reason why such a list doesn’t exist.

It was another maga bullshit conspiracy story which backfired spectaculary.

  • 30 years ago? So 1995. As one who was there: fuck no. The 90s where cool, everything seemed fixed, osties travelling through Europe in their Trabant 2 stroke miniature cars. (That was fun on the Autobahn) Only Saddam was jerking around and that was far away, internet was brand new, everything seemed possible. No terrorist threat of the RAF, IRA or the bask separation front. There was even hope for peace in Israel.

But if you would say 40 or 50 years ago? I would say fuck yes. It’s much better nowadays. The cold war was wild. The recession of the 80s was bleak af, Thatcher, Reagan. PLO, RAF, IRA, Basks. No man, there was a reason behind films like aliens, Terminator and punk music. Why they resonated with society at that time. Contrary to current popular belief the 80s was not a decade long neon party. Many people lost their jobs. Youth unemployment was at it’s highest ever. No jobs, no houses available. It was dark. Darkest time of my life. Everyone thought nuclear war was inevitable. We would all die of radiation or in the cold harsh nuclear winter. Yup. That was the Outlook at that time.

70s was the all time high of the cold war, oil crisis, something else i’m forgetting. But I was a small child back then so everything about that era is hearsay.

But for me? The 90s where good. 80s sucked hard. (End) 70s also had a lot of downs.

  • Point? Like most gifts, there is no point. You just got it.

Thats how I treat my life: as a gift. Because what makes me me, existed as matter for eons. Inert. And by an insane oddity it got “infused” with life, thought, wonder but only for an extremely short while. And after that short period it will go back into that inert state. So i do nice things which are within my reach. Things that makes me feel good. And modern (western) society gives us a lot of time to do that. I know it doesn’t always feel like that but if you look at it historically we have the most off time ever.

Nice things can be anything. Maybe meaningless on the Grand scale of things, but I like making my family happy. I love cuddling my stinky old dog(well, not that old), I hate gardening but love the outcome of it. And yes, I love wasting time on movies, reading, gaming, theater. Or hikes. Or travel in general. The smell of the sea. The feeling of being in a forest. That first time you played “The last of us”. that one specific movie. Or read that one fantastic book. That feeling when you finished it. Or when you went to that insanely funny comedian. Or just hanged out drinking beers (or whatever )with friends or colleagues. Its all fantastic.

And most of the times I like my job and try to forward my little society with it. (I work for a municipality) Within my own little means.

So… meaning? Of life? Experience shit. Make up your own mind.

And please: don’t use big tech socials. They’re made so you don’t feel good, get addicted to them. Get you hooked. It and it’s goals (sell ads!) are evil.

I’ve been inert for eternity. I will not waste that little time I have. Experience something. Anything.

  • The issue with Musk is the very clear meddling in EU politics first, second his insane behavior and third, his Nazi salute.

If he kept in his lane and just kept his MAGA insanity stateside the Fallout would be a lot less worse.

But the moment he entered the EU political scene he murdered his brandS in the EU.

they will never recover. The damage was done at the worst time possible, when kia, Hyundai andthe entire German automobile industry went all out with EVs and China (byd) entered the EU EV market.

    Tesla is done.

    SELL. don’t HODL.

  • I seriously cannot vote for a party which slogan was/is:

Vote no. Vote SP. (In Dutch this rhymes)

Really, with that slogan it just is a lost vote. They’re against everything. Or so it seems. Like Wilders the SP does not want to rule. Because ruling in NL means making a compromise. And they can’t. They wont do it. And thats been proven during the Roemer years. They could rule… but didn’t. Couldn’t risk it. Couldn’t compromise.

Like Wilders they want to stand at the sidelines screaming and fuming about everything which is wrong in their eyes. That’s the only way how they can legitimise their existence.

It’s better to vote for real parties who are not afraid of the Fallout of ruling in NL. Those who accept the probable hit to their popularity because they think the change they can achieve is worth it.

But SP, PVV, JA21, PvdD even GL of old… they don’t really want to rule. And i should also include DENK here. I’m a bit torn about NSC and BBB because they tried to rule but when faced with the harsh reality of being in government and finding those compromises they buckled. I Guess they’re finished because what they stand for, while laudable in some ways, just isn’t realistic. There are too many farmers in NL. There is too much nitrogen. A small country cannot produce the most pigs in the EU. It’s not sustainable.

NSC is build on the promise of being right, doing the right thing. But whats right for you can be very wrong for me…

Anyway, a vote for one of those is a lost vote.

And to add: Whoever thought it a good idea to put Timmermans at the front of the left… they are out of their minds. He is not charismatic, comes over as your annoying math school teacher you hated and left national politics not because he was so well regarded. There are so many very cool politicians on the left but Timmermans is not one of them. I just can’t wrap my head around that one.

Timmermans will lose them (again) the vote. Do something more with Lahlah. Or whoever. As long as its not the failed EU climate pope, Paulus de boskabouter , Timmerfrans or whatever nickname he carries these days.

He is the face of everything which was wrong with the PvdA.

  • Not that guy but another: No. You? Because Microsoft is a lot of things but walled gardens is something out of Cupertino. Not Redmond.

You can call MS shitty and I would fully concur but a walled gardens it’s not.

You don’t need ad, Exchange/outlook, m365, entraid. They’re nice for most users but you can live without and use other services in their place on any MS platform.

Now, iOS… Have fun with that.
