ShouldIHaveFun@sh.itjust.worksto Mildly Infuriating@lemmy.world•Public transit in Toronto, Canada 🇨🇦 vs Chengdu, China 🇨🇳 English45·6 天前It’s not like workers having to do 2 or 3 jobs in the US just to allow their family to survive are really “free workers”. At least slaves in China seem to benefit the country. In the US, the slaves just benefit big corporations and their shareholders.
3x the rent as a revenue and 3 month deposit is also standard in Switzerland. However, the deposit is put in a special account and the bank releases it when you move out. It is not that easy for the landlord to get a part of it. About the rent not exceeding one third of the revenue, it’s of course not always easy to do, but if you exceeded it, you would risk having other financial problems which wouldn’t be good for you neither.
Any decent heating system will have a thermostat which will activate the heating when it’s getting cold. Also no need for internet to be able to setup the time when electricity is cheaper. It’s not like it’s something you need to do regularly. Setting this all up directly on the heating system works well enough.

No wonder why none of your bosses treated you well if you have this kind of thinking. You must be a pain to work with.

I always thought this was not allowed, but if meta itself recommends me this I guess it’s OK.
I’m more with the opposite view: Advertising, which is manipulating people into buying your product, IS inherently a bad thing. Although some cases may be legitimate.

Work commit are not supposed to be made with a free account. This only says that you can’t have multiple free accounts.
You end up making a huge amount of people jobless, including the C suite, and investors moneyless.
It’ll be a nice reminder for everybody, and everybody will be very picky about which company they work for / invest in. Maybe leading to more transparency in companies so that they can prove that they don’t commit fraud / crimes.
Too many companies have so much money/power that their crimes have much worse consequences than making people jobless.

You may want to think about using another name for your app suite though. Since it may bring confusion with the simple mobile tools (https://simplemobiletools.com/index.html) which for example also have a “Simple Notes” app.
If you kill the company you do punish those people by killing their main revenue/asset. The good thing is that you also punish the investors who will lose all their money. This will dissuade anybody to invest into a company if there is a possibility that the company is fraudulent. This could even push more transparency in the companies to attract investors.
I think we should also introduce death penalty for companies. Did a company commit a serious enough crime ? Then we just kill it. Is does not deserve to exist anymore.
I can hear your neighbors fucking upstairs in this image.
Are you maybe using Windows? I’ve heard it can be slow sometimes, even on modern hardware.
Yes, they could brick it. But then you can open a warranty case when you are back in the EU.
