The Yemeni forces showed video, at least with Magic Seas, that they contact the vessel, inform them that they are violating a blockade, order them to slow their vessel and divert course or they “will be responsible for the lives and safety of their crew and vessel”, and repeat this warning multiple times. These BBC and American articles never mention that part, so I was surprised to hear it, but it seems the vessels are given plenty of warning and opportunity to avoid being sunk.
There’s a level of professionalism I didn’t quite expect here. That’s the effect of propaganda, I suppose, but it seems like the Yemeni forces gave ample warning for the ship to cease and the crew to evacuate. I cannot imagine what would motivate a shipping captain to continue despite the dangers of losing the vessel and crew. I know they’re paid fairly well as it can be a real shit job, but I just cannot fathom thinking anything is worth being aboard a vessel that is about to be attacked as opposed to surrendering it and cooperating.
Lmao we’re boned
That really puts a poor taste in my mouth about the project, actually.
They’re terrible cookies never buy em.
We do? I’ve had one for over a decade
Remember when they were jokes instead of regurgitated ad slogans?
I think a Linux focused community is an odd place for this topic.
…are social scientists okay?
Naw mod made the right call
It’s a good point, but goddamn it’s some rough imagery for a joke.
Uh yah that’s why we’re not allowed to buy them in the USA. They’d outcompete any American product. The auto industry is about making money, not providing cheap, quality electric vehicles to the masses!
While I agree with you that it should be an option to turn it off, who is telling you that you need to send a full message if someone sees you were typing?
We’re the ones making the rules for this world full of technologies and we create the social rules for them daily with our own actions. Fuck that expectation, I’m sure other people can surmise what happened even if they noticed you were typing for just a second, they’re working with the same limited software.
The writers at The Daily Beast have such a talent for hyperbole.
What a family apartment really needs is bedrooms that share walls…
I agree with the concept but dang this layout sucks.
Honey this is America, anything is legal if you got the money
Eh Probably not tbf. NYC hasn’t elected a republican since Bloomberg and they generally lose by 30%
We love cloth mother, way better than wire mother, gotta say
The… lies of the Haggadah? The book so benign I can get copies published by ShopRite? Oh no, he’s going to out the dark truth that Pesach was never meant to come with a 4 drink minimum and the secret to singing Chad Gadyah in a round while plastered! What’s next? Will he expose the ancient Jewish secret to a good brisket is actually Dr. Pepper?
Edit: Obviously this dude is a dangerous Neo-Nazi and the Earth shouldn’t suffer him breathing it’s precious oxygen, but we gotta laugh or else we’ll cry, right?
