If it weren’t for the skin incinerating temperature, it’d probably feel like softened caramel

You were doing so good until the last sentence.
The requirement that teachers be puritanical saints outside of school is just as toxic.
Twipped@l.twipped.socialto Today I Learned@lemmy.world•TIL you shouldn't bring camouflage on a cruise.English1·13 days agoAny ship built in the last ten years has onboard waste processing facilities and water desalination plants. The only thing that goes back into the ocean is purified graywater, and ash. Plastics are stowed until they return to land.
The way the ships are built was drastically changed in the last decade because of the big lawsuits that Carnival got smacked within 2016 and 2019. There’s some pretty neat videos on YouTube about how Disney’s ships handle trash and human waste. It’s sorted better than most metropolitan waste companies.

Joe is not a himbo, he takes himself seriously and is often sick of Peter’s shit. Kronk is more like MCU Thor, he’s an airhead. The two talk quite differently
When I worked box office, if two kids in a trenchcoat tried to get a ticket to an R rated film, I would have comped them the ticket just for the lols.
When tap-to-pay became a thing, Walmart went all in on building their own payment system instead, because Apple Pay and Google Pay both get a portion of the credit card transaction fees.
By pushing everyone through Walmart Pay, THEY get that portion, and can collect interest on any cash back stored in the customers account (just like Starbucks).
Of course, anyone who just wants to use the nfc on their credit card gets fucked over
There are 85 locations remaining in the united states. Thats down from 270 in the 90s. There are only four in California where I live.
They got bought up by private equity and gutted, just like red lobster.
Third spaces were much more common before the 2000s. Coffee shops where you could hang out with friends were actually a thing in the 90s. Open mic nights and karaoke. I remember we had a common ritual at the book store I worked where everyone who closed would meet up at TGI Fridays for late night drinks, TGIF doesn’t even exist any more. I used to meet up with a bunch of friends at Dennys every Thursday night, and then it fucking closed.
As someone who worked in a movie theater for four years, popcorn/candy is really not that big of a deal. Even in the biggest disasters (usually kids movies) you just break out the push broom and just walk down each row while someone else sweeps up at the aisles.
It’s the wet foods that are actually annoying. Nacho cheese is the worst, because it smears all over the place. Then there’s the bodily fluids…
Also, the people who clean between shows are called ushers. Janitors come early in the morning to vacuum, mop the floors and clean the bathrooms.

There was no curse in the tv show, he was born like that.
Stockholm Syndrome isn’t an actual thing, fyi. It has never been recognized as a condition and never been diagnosed. The entire thing was an attempt to dismiss valid reactions to police incompetence.
Yeah, reading other articles about the study, it sounds like this is more a product of manufacturing and packaging than an actual ingredient
Straight sizes (xs - xxxl) vs Plus sizes (0x - 5x)
Designers create garments for one size (typically Large), and then scale it down and up for the other sizes, but above a certain threshold that doesn’t proportion correctly, so plus sizes are scaled from 2x.
The term “straight” here was originally opposed to curved.
