3·1 day agoI was a supportive older siblings for my little sister. Certainly remember playing dolls with her. Her twin brother seemed a lot less supportive in that regard, but he certainly wasn’t averse to dress up. When my sister made a scrapbook for a school assignment, she included a picture of me wearing a plastic princess tiara and other plastic jewelry and made a point to show me that she had done that. I was happy with her choice. My egg didn’t crack until almost a decade after that.
3·1 day agoMy parents didn’t notice the tits either. I think the only person I know who I’m pretty sure has noticed on their own was my best friend (who isn’t really the type to be particularly trans-positive). I’m pretty impressed by people’s lack of awareness.
Kinda surprises me. I tried to force my parents to start the conversation by intentionally obviously wearing a sports bra and my mom pretty quickly asked me about it. Was wearing a tshirt with quite a larger neck hole though.

Didn’t expect the movie to be so targeted. Can’t imagine many cis people particularly liking it. Although not being spoiled that it’s a trans movie would probably make the plot twist better. Imo, knowing it’s a movie aimed at trans people alone is too much of a spoiler. Wasn’t really my cup of tea. Being live-action is pretty much enough reason for me to feel that way though.
After we finished it, we turned on one of the songs that was in the movie (psychic wound by King Woman) and weirdly it seemed a lot different from what we remembered it sounding like it in the movie. Not sure if it was actually different or not. But weirdly reminded me of that part where main character is streaming the Pink Opaque and it is very different from the version that originally played.
Same. Was why I waited so long to say anything to my parents and why I still haven’t said anything to my best friend (despite him trying to start the conversation repeatedly!). Although I think in both cases, I also just felt/feel bad for waiting so long to say something. Like, its particularly stupid with my friend, since he obviously knows at this point.

Once in four years just sounds like someone made a mistake. Like, sometimes I mix up up terms randomly for cis people whom I’ve known for a while.
And about 50% of the time I use the wrong name to refer to someone (if your name doesn’t start with a J, you have a chance of me using multiple wrong names first! No exceptions for anyone).
282·4 days agoIt already happens. Look at things like pipeline leaks poisoning the water supply for certain native groups. There’s obviously protests against such projects that will inevitably lead to said poisoning, people get arrested for protesting, and then they do the project anyways.
I think that’s at least approximately correct. Not sure I trust my judgement on my own emotions though. I still just use my birthname, boymode for work, etc and I’ve been aware I’m trans for a few years at this point. But it was over I realized I wanted an orchi and never considered that it might somehow be related to gender.

7·5 days agoDepends on the bus system. Some primarily operate within a square mile, and therefore primarily solve the last mile situation. They don’t solve the first/last 50m probably that isn’t really a problem anyways.
I wear undershirts with a built-in shelf bra that give enough support for me. My mom found one in the laundry (I meant to bring my clothes from the dryer and forgot) before I came out and she was confused about what it was and just assumed it was some sort of shape-wear for men. I provided zero explanation (which probably matches how much explanation I gave the first time I’d been caught sorta trying on a bra like 15 years prior).
Honestly was surprised neither of my moms had noticed. Once or twice, I just wore a normal tshirt around them and just had to support my chest with my arm when running shortly before coming out.
People who have clear interests that contrast my own make it much easy to realize my own thoughts are not that of a cis men. Given the pressure cis men are put under to pretend they like being cis men, I couldn’t trust them to be honest*, so seeing others’ thoughts was helpful. So thanks for saying you actually want a penis?
*sorry to anyone who I accidentally laughed because I thought you were making fun of masculinity rather than earnestly embracing it because I couldn’t imagine someone actually wanting that.
Self-diagnosis (and diagnosis by non-professionals who just ask me if I’m autistic unprompted) seems good enough for me. Given people just assume I’m autistic regardless, I don’t see how it makes a different whether I have a professional diagnosis or not.
