It’s two feet off the wall, and she goes in there and eats just fine. It’s just been very difficult to close the head gate and keep it closed long enough to secure the through bolt. I got it done today, and just stood with her calmly petting her and talking to her and she just ate the rest of her pellets and alfalfa. When she was done I let her out and she just hung around looking for more pellets.
Progress, I suppose.
argueswithidiots@lemmy.worldOPto Do-It-Yourself, Repairs and Fixes@lemmy.ml•Cow head stanchion2·3 months agoYes, I built a horizontal shelf that I put pellets on to get her in there. It isn’t enough to keep her there while I slide the board though. Maybe I can try some apples? I just need to get her used to it and then it shouldn’t be a problem. Hopefully.
I just don’t like being rejected by some dumbass program before a human can look at my resume.
Right, it’s a tool companies use to automatically scan and reject resumes based on keywords.
I’ve been told ATS doesn’t work properly on PDFs and word is better for this reason. I used to uploads PDFs prior to this. Now I don’t know what to believe, my entire worldview has been upended!

Then I thought about how powerful of a visual it would have been for each one of them, in turn, to cause a disruption and be escorted out. Let the cameras pan over a half filled chamber after 2 hours of meticulous protesting. That image would be in history books 100 years from now, assuming we all survive the next 4.

OPM has listed on their website under ‘fork’. The deadline for acceptance is 6 Feb, and the resignation will be effective at the end of September. There is no back and forth with HR; you simply reply to their email with the word ‘resign’ or you don’t and remain employed until the loyalty police come around.

argueswithidiots@lemmy.worldto Fuck Cars@lemmy.world•But how will people know what size the pp is?English62·1 year agoWhile I agree that farmers can have specialized vehicles for different tasks, not all do. We farm sheep, pigs, chickens, and ducks and do not have specialized equipment. We don’t even have a tractor. I also don’t disagree that people who don’t have a use for trucks don’t need them, but I wouldn’t go to far as to say they shouldn’t have them. While objectively worse for the environment than a vehicle more suitable to their lifestyles, it’s a slippery slope (as we’ve seen) once we start legislating morality.
Bottom line: if we didn’t operate a farm business, we wouldn’t have a need for or the desire to have a large truck. More likely, any truck at all. We certainly wouldn’t have one to park in the driveway of the suburban house we would probably live in. It’s just impractical, but not everyone is gifted with innate pragmatism.

argueswithidiots@lemmy.worldto Fuck Cars@lemmy.world•But how will people know what size the pp is?English168·1 year agoStating in your argument “there are no arguments to this” highlights up front how close-minded you are to discussion on the subject. It’s perfectly acceptable to discuss things you strongly believe in while still allowing yourself to be open-minded about opposing views. In fact, I would say it is required for honest discourse to occur.
In my personal experience, I have one of these vehicles with a comfortable and spacious cab. It allows me to have one vehicle for all the tasks that come with a sheep and pig farm, and also allows us to transport our large family comfortably to and fro. I would like my family to be comfortable while riding in our vehicle, which is equally able to perform various work functions related to farming and transport a family. Why would we purchase and maintain two separate vehicles for these purposes when a single option exists?
They sure do, which is why the military prosecutors are being appointed as Special Assistants to the US Attorney. What do you think happens when civilians commit crimes on federal military installations? They can’t be charged due to this loophole? No civilian US Attorney is going to waste their time, and locals have no jurisdiction. SAUSAs have long been the DoDs answer to this problem.
Also, just to be clear, I’m not defending this move whatsoever, but claiming they can’t doesn’t make it so.
