avguser@lemmy.worldto Mental Health@lemmy.world•Daily mindfulness practice reduces anxiety for autistic adultsEnglish2·2 months agoThe app the study used is Healthy Minds. I downloaded it this morning to give it a shot. Seems better than other guided meditation or breathing apps I’ve tried, is free, and has a learning path sorta like DuoLingo which makes it gamified for my brain. Gonna try to do at least one activity per day and see how it works.

This monologue from 12 years ago really sums it up for me. America is not the greatest country in the world anymore but I believe it still has the capacity to be.

I was probably was able to set up more effective filters as things coalesced onto that instance then I guess after reviewing my filter list. I’ve got community blocks as well. I’d prefer to block communities, not instances. No reason to miss out on interacting with folks just cause they’re into different things than I am necessarily.
Good to know. Is pawb.social the instance to block now then to achieve the same goal?
I blocked yiffit.net pretty early on, so I guess that? I’m not interested in the content they post, so it was easier to block the entire instance rather than each random furry porn community that would pop up onto c/all. No shame or anything against them though, just not my thing.

Enlistment into any branch of the U.S. military, by citizens of countries other than the United States is limited to those foreign nationals who are legally residing in the United States and possess a Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services Alien Registration Card (INS Form I-151/551 - commonly known as a “Green Card”). Applicants must be between 17 and 35; meet the mental, moral, and physical standards for enlistment; and must speak, read and write English fluently.
