    In the UK the’re pretty bold, urban foxes live pretty much on top of us. I’ve got a family living right outside my door this year (much to my dogs distain) that just kind of sit there watching me. They’ve got no predators other than cars and the occasional Tory voter.

    Oh yeah, for sure. It’s still good for you as are most vegetables, and tasty to boot, but I’ve experienced too many people treat anemia with a spinach rich diet (my family carries the thalacemia genes) so I try to point it out where possible to help inform others.



  • For the cowbird this is normal. Cowbirds are brood parasites, it’s snuck in whilst the robin was away and laid it’s egg for the robin to raise. If the robin is smart enough to notice what’s happened they will often still raise it anyway, as the adult cowbird will be keeping an eye on the host nest and will destroy the other eggs if the robin rejects it.
