Ehh, I used to run a server, and Paper never broke anything that me, or other people wanted to do. You can enable TNT duping and bedrock breaking in configs, and it fixes some unacceptable for public server dupes. Not to mention they have performance reasons too. Features that break under paper tend to break between versions too, because preserving bugs is quite hard. And officially by Mojang there is Bedrock which just makes any complains you have to Paper laughable

  • I decided to run it on system without bash as neofetch replacement. It feels unreasonably complex, I spent unreasonable amount of time fighting with cmake. On normal system I have pfetch in my bashrc, since it’s basically instant, and neofetch for screenshots. It’s not instant, but I don’t run it every second or something.

And btw I do love speed and simplicity of C, but for fetch tool, POSIX shell is the best choice, I think.

I think it very depends on your hardware. I, personally, never had problems with it, on thinkpad which I use right now WiFi drivers were out of box even in Gentoo minimal ISO(It uses iwlwifi). But, every hardware that I have is about 10yo. And I think I haven’t any non-intel WiFi-cards.

But also one of my friends had to compile drivers for his card manually from github, and second friend had issues with his WiFi constantly disconnecting which we couldn’t solve.
