Thanks for reading!
Oh, lol, I’ll take some blame there too, I maybe should have hyphenated ‘right-wing’
Worth asking what exactly they’re collaborating on then, right? Just a couple days ago, ministers from those same two provinces asked the Feds not to renew the requirements to provide safe drinking water to Indigenous communities. And the screenshot here was careful to include the word ‘pipelines’.
How would you frame the PM’s post, out of curiosity?
Tbh I’m starting to think Carney is worse, if only because so many Liberal supporters are unwilling to criticize his actions, despite how much they align with Conservatives’ goals.
If Poilievre was the one ramming through things like Bill C-5, these same folks would be livid!
If you do end up reading it, I’d love to hear what you think :)
Fair point. Here’s the text that Carney wrote:
“The premiers are right on: Canada has what the world needs, and we need to get back into the business of exporting it to new markets. We’re building one united Canadian economy, and there’s more to come.”
Here’s the headline from the screenshot:
“Premiers Danielle Smith and Doug Ford agree to study new energy corridors, more trade.”
And this is the text in the screenshot, below the picture of Premiers Smith and Ford at a press conference (the screenshot is from CTV news, btw):
“The premiers of Alberta and Ontario agreed Monday to a feasibility study of new pipelines and rail lines between provinces and pledged to increase interprovincial trade of”
(Screenshot cuts off at this point)
lol yeah sorry was looking through someone else’s comment history (someone who seems quite hostile to criticism of dear leader) and found your post also getting a big pile-on from Canada’s Insufferable Liberal Hordes
and yeah it ain’t great
Thanks very much - and yeah, clearly it hit a nerve, lol
True! However, Poilievre isn’t the PM, and besides, the CPC are voting with the Liberals; when was the last time the Liberals and Conservatives were teaming up against the Bloc, NDP, and Greens?
Well, you may not have been completely right on every detail, but the way Carney’s government is going, you weren’t far off.
Yep. I’m surprised how many people can’t come to grips with the reality that Carney is like, super right-wing
Well I’m glad they ended up at least skimming the post (the first half of it, anyway), because they got to see that the piece actually agrees with their initial criticism: nobody cares if the PM is good at flipping pancakes.
I did, yes, but it’s ok if you don’t want to read it 🙂
It’s a blog post on my own site, nothing scary about the link 🙂
Edit: I’m fine if people don’t like the blog post but it’s kinda weird to downvote me for assuring someone there’s nothing wrong with the link itself (literally an HTML file with no JS or cookies).
Oh well, hit a nerve I guess
Huh, so apparently the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA) is paying GardaWorld around half a billion dollars per year to do security screenings in over half of our airports.
And guess what, they have a lot of complaints against them from both passengers and their own employees, per this article from Sept 2024:
Feel like we should push for the cancellation of this
I genuinely get the feeling Carney is way more of an authoritarian than most people think. Huge fan of hierarchy, that guy
That timeline is horrifying, as is their LinkedIn feed. They seem to position themselves as a private militia for corporate interests. If the Canadian government had any spine whatsoever they would seize all of their assets immediately.
“commercial free speech”
By which they mean lying. They want to be able to legally lie about environment-related claims to Canadians. I’m curious what planet they’re from
Curious if you clicked any of the dozen links that back up the claims made in the piece?
