ratboy [they/them]@hexbear.netto Self Improvement@hexbear.net•Weekly Improvement Thread - July 20th 2025English6·9 days agoI’ve actually been good and have been going on ~3 mile walks each day for the past 3 and doing my PT exercises. So far I havent really experienced any achilles pain so I think I’m in my sweet spot. I’m excited to see whether or not my PT pays off by being able to walk or hike 5 miles without pain. If this helps my knee pain as well I’ll probably cry tears of joy, being able to jump or hike on uneven terrain again would be so amazing
My Adderall got a bump a couple days ago and as of yesterday I think it’s actually working to make me feel more motivated. Wish it would quiet my brain down but feeling more peppy/wanting to get up and do things is really nice. Thank God I’m out of my slump!
Can a comment from an outside source be used as a tagline? Because hexbear NEEDS it

ratboy [they/them]@hexbear.netto music@hexbear.net•Anyone gonna Livestream the Black Sabbath thingy tomorrow?English7·25 days agoSacrilege. Black Sabbath by Black Sabbath is a perfect record, it’s not all like Iron Man, and they are also the fathers of an entire genre of metal that rules (doom).
TAKE IT BACK
This goes for you too @corgiwithalaptop@hexbear.net

I have also been a drinker all my life so wouldnt be surprised if I have liver issues (luckily I don’t drink as much anymore). Would enzyme issues change how you metabolize meds?

Sushi was a big one for me as well. I think I first had it in 5th or 6th grade, and I was SOOO excited to try it because I was a little weeb. Once the seaweed from a california roll hit I definitely gagged and probably didn’t try it again for another 5 years or more.
When I was growing up my grandpa cooked for the household. He was born in like 1930 I think so it was like, plain pork chops, white rice with butter, and iceburg lettuce salad with shredded carrots for dinner. So I wasn’t really exposed to a variety of foods at all. When I moved out though I went all out trying a bunch of different veggies I’d never heard of and cuisines I had never tried and I’m so glad I did
