I like how Lemmy is reminiscent of early Internet forums and how users have a choice to share as little or as much as they want about themselves. Having online status publicly displayed detracts from that experience. We shouldn’t have to justify being offline or simply not wanting to respond right away. The internet is at our fingertips but it doesn’t mean we need to be accessible all the time.
Kindness, empathy, humor, independence, reliability, and curiosity about the world are all traits that make someone attractive in the sense that I want to know them and be their friend. Although those qualities are valuable in romantic relationships too, I haven’t been able to describe what separates a romantic attraction from a friendly one yet.
I’m very good at remembering names, dates, facts, and other bits of information, but am terrible at remembering when I need to do which things in the short term unless I write them down.

Well, I really do believe men are often encouraged to suppress emotions of sadness, loneliness, and vulnerability, and women are more likely to receive support from both genders for expressing the same emotions.
I also believe women are judged more harshly in professional and public settings for being assertive and confrontational even when it’s justified. These emotions, along with signs of aggression, are tolerated more coming from men.
I try not to make such generalizations, especially since people’s culture and upbringing also play a large role in how they manage and display emotions, but those are the two I have observed most often.
You can put them in the freezer for use in months when they don’t grow.
Jelly, jam, compote, syrups for juices, and liqueur are all long-lasting things you can make with them.
I think the main difference is in how men and women express their emotions, and to whom.
Observe how they treat people who they don’t benefit from in financial, sexual, or other material ways. Don’t rush to be too generous with them.

Medical tourism is a real thing. Whether you will pay less than you would in the US will depend on the country you go to and the procedure. Without insurance you are still likely to pay a lot of money at a private clinic. You also have to factor in whether you will need follow-up appointments and plan for complications because those costs plus the costs of multiple overseas trips and living accommodations will add up.

Not surprising. People adopt vocabulary, phrases, and mannerisms of speech from sources they interact with often. It happens in interactions between real people on and offline too.
