I have a feeling that brainrot is accelerated in these kinds of people due to a positive feedback loop as they become ostracized due to a noticible “self-deterioration”.

This might be the wrong way to approach things but after I introduce myself with my pronouns to people I don’t press them to use them.

All of my friends politely corrects each other and any other person who doesn’t care won’t bother.

I personally find this system I made useful as:

• I can keep track of people that I can freely reciprocate trust and respect.
• I know who to ignore and avoid. If they won’t do something small as respect me with the simple usage of pronouns then they don’t deserve any of my time.

• reducing phone apps always running in the background, beeing choosy with which apps should have “Background Data Usage” allowed/enabled.
• what kinds of apps to install? Proprietary vs Open Source? (most if not all proprietary apps will collect and sell any data they can, free proprietary apps means you are the product)
• Who do I know that has been consistently trustworthy online? Can I ask them for help?
  • try to provide the least amount of Personally Identifying Information (PII) if possible, no need to share entire life stories unless you’re sure you can trust the person online.

I’m sure I know more about this as I personally try to help my friends and family protect themselves, just can’t think of more to add atm.

The approximate end goal of the Stop Killing Games intiative is to:

• prevent publishers from killing games where consumers/gamers were not informed briefed that what they paid for was a live service game.
• and/or have the live service game in any manner of a playable state when they decide to pull the plug.

As to how the UK’s government will respond will be up to them.

Will they come in clutch for Divers, UK consumers, and fellow gamers? or will they fumble the ball?

• It’s up to them to decide how they should act.
