I was an anarchist, then libertarian, before I finally became an independent. I fundamentally support the ideas of public infrastructure as well and police, medical, and fire department services. I simply can’t get behind ‘anarchy’ this late in my life, especially when I will becoming more dependent on others/the state the older I get especially when I am too old and frail to work.

Anarchy won’t work pre-star-trek’s post scarcity society imho. It’s just an attractive flower for those who yearn the smell of something different than the status quo, but I suspect there will be recoil from the foul taste when it finally touches their lips.

I fundamentally don’t. I believe public infrastructure should be a thing, and for that to exist, mutually agreed upon rules need to exist. Individuals can exist without rules, society absolutely cannot.
